Elvis Presley took time out last night to help two teen-aged boys who were hurt when the motor-cycle they were double-riding and a car collided.

Presley, who returned Monday from two years in the Army, was out for an evening motorcycle ride himself with an unidentified girl friend.

IllinoisTeen-AgersSkipSchool to See Elvis

Girl´s Father Takes Off From Work to Bring Her, Friend.

At the insistance of his 15-year-old daughter, Mary, W. C. Hull of Calumet Park, Ill., took a few days off from work and drove to Memphis. Mary, a high school freshman, and one of her friends, Imogene Steekley, 14, sat patiently outside the gate of Elvis Presley on Highway 51 S. content to rush over and talk with Elvis´ uncle, Travis Smith, at intervals.

The two Illinois teenagers said they wrote notes to their teachers explaining their absence: "Sorry we won´t be at school today. Gone to Memphis to see Elvis."

Popular Place

The gate is a popular place now that Elvis has re-turned home from the Army.

In the crowd yesterday stood Wallace Dorrit, 15, of 3520 Lake View, the youth who received numerous face lacerations in a motorcycle collision Wednesday night near Graceland.

Elvis and an unidentified companion, coming up on the collision on the singer´s motorcycle, stopped and covered Wallace and his companion with their coats until an ambulance arrived. A sheriff´sdepu-ty later returned the coats.

Thanked Elvis

Wally said he had been ordered to stay in bed a week but thought he should come by to thank Elvis for the good turn.

Then the moment arrived for which the group of fans had been braving chilly winds.

Elvis, at the wheel of his Cadillac, whipped off the highway and up the drive. Spotting Wally, he slammed on brakes.

Lamar Fike, Elvis´ travelling companion, motioned to Travis that it was O. K. for Wally to come thru the gates. Elvis shook hands with Wally.

Elvis had dyed his hair jet black again. He was wearing a white leather jacket, gold vest, white shirt with black string tie, and tight black trousers.

After he drove to the house on the hill, a cute young girl walked up to Uncle Travis and said: "I guess I´ll go on up to the house now." He let her pass.

From Florida

"She´s from Florida," Travis explained. "She´s staying here a few days."

With that, he shut the gates and the group out-side settled back for another long wait.

Two ´Mystery Girls´ Are Identified

We can identify two of Elvis´ "mystery" girls for you today.

1. The girl out motorcycling with him Tuesday night when he stopped to help two teenaged boys involved in a motorcycle-auto wreck was his secretary Elizabeth McCormick. A pretty brunet, she arrived last Saturday from Germany with Elvis´ father, grandmother, and the blond mystery woman who has been referred to as “Dee.”

2. The blond pictured with Elvis at Holiday On Ice in yesterday´s Press-Scimitar was Gloria Kaye Mowels, 17, daughter of Mrs. Gloria Mowels, 1802 Myrna Lane. Kaye was one  of a group of nine or10 girls, in addition to several young men, who accompanied Elvis to the ice show. She is a veteran Elvis fan, and got her name in the paper two and half years ago when her leg was hurt in the melee at Elvis´ Tupelo fair show, and again when she was among those who rushed to the Graceland gate the night he got his draft notice.

No Wedding Plans, Says Elvis´ Dad.

At Huntsville, Ala., Vernon Presley, widowed father of Elvis, announced he has no plans to wed a blond divorcee who accompanied him home from Europe this week.

Presley identified the "mystery woman" as Ne-vada Neely and said she is "just a friend and more or less a secretary. "They were visiting her brother, Richard Neely, at Huntsville.
